In my opinion, this movie was a good time. This movie was significantly better than Black Adam and the first Shazam movie. My theater was filled with laughter after the jokes landed. Even though this superhero movie wasn't connected to future DC installments, it was enjoyable seeing these characters back on screen again. I think Zachary Levi and Asher Angel were more in sync with each other in this movie. In the last movie, it was hard to believe they were the same person from a personality point of view. It was really cool to watch a boss fight in a baseball stadium that I had been in before. Superhero movies that take place on earth are my favorite because you can relate to being there. Several of the jokes hit the mark and made my theatre erupt with laughter. Faithe Herman and Meagan Good remained the queens of light-hearted comedy in the Shazam movies. I thought the villains were benevolent and had a compelling case to destroy Philly. They also pushed Billy to grow up a lot too. I'm glad to see Lucy Liu on screen again too. It was amazing how the lair turned out from the last movie. I wish I had a lair in another dimension. Overall, I wish we were getting another movie, but I think this concludes the Shazam story. Wasn't my all-time favorite DC movie but it was a good time all in all. I highly encourage you if you are bored to watch this movie. Definitely give it a watch once it appears on HBO Max.
